The granted patent family describes a pre-portioned, single-dose bone graft composition enclosed in a dissolvable gelatin bag or capsule, and a surgical technique using it. The alginate-based hydrogel composition described on this site is the subject of a pending U.S. application, in which alginate is named as one of the polysaccharide derivatives that may form the carrier. No claim is made on this site that the alginate hydrogel composition is covered by a granted patent. Patent pending.
